Pooches, French wine and gourmet delights to benefit BCAR

Big Canoe Wine Group Annual Fundraiser support for Big Canoe Animal Rescue

The date is Thursday, Sept. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Chimneys with catering support from Talk of the Town. This year 20 French wines from eight growing regions were specially selected for the tasting. The cost per ticket is $55 per person, and the goal is to sell 115 tickets by Sept. 15, 2017.

The wines are diverse, Alsace Riesling and Gewürztraminer white wines along with a sparkling Cremant brut, and a Pouilly-Fume Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valle. A rare Albarino from the Languedoc-Roussillon. Complementing the white wines is a Rose from Provence and a dozen red wines from Bordeaux, Southwest France, Languedoc-Roussillon, Rhone, and Beaujolais. The food selection will match the wines.

In addition to supporting our animal rescue team, each attendee will receive a wine glass, a wine program with notes and the opportunity to win wine in a raffle. A special silent auction will allow everyone who bids and then wins the auction to have a sketch of their favorite animal drawn by Artist Kay Davis. Her superb artistic talent gleams in an earlier sketch she drew as shown.

Ticket sales have been streamlined this year with POA assistance. The wine groups ticket master is Keith Williams, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or telephone 770-355-7274. Contact Keith, and he will send you a reservation form which you can complete and pay using your POA charge with lot number and signature or pay using a check made payable to Big Canoe POA. We would prefer the use of your POA charge. Keith will collect reservations from his alpha box, establish a master list and coordinate directly with Kim Cooper in the POA lodge for the reservation and confirm with you that he has you and other attendees joining you on the master list. The master list will confirm your reservation as you enter the event.

This is an excellent opportunity to support our BCAR program.
