‘Music for Food’ at Eagle’s Rest Park on Saturday, Sept. 21
The sound of music is returning to Eagle’s Rest Park on Mt. Oglethorpe on Saturday, Sept. 21. Musicians from Big Canoe will be playing your favorite songs from the past and also perhaps an original composition.
Music for Food
Bring your love for music and your desire to help the needy of Pickens County to the mountain. Boy Scout Troop 20 of Big Canoe will be collecting canned food and donations for CARES of Pickens County. Look for the Boys Scouts at the kiosk near the top of the mountain to make your donation. Canned food or a donation will be helpful to CARES of Pickens. Your financial support has impact…for every $1 you donate, CARES can buy four cans of soup or vegetables from the Food Bank in Atlanta.
Please consider supporting the on-going work in the park. Visit the Mt. Oglethorpe Foundation’s new website (https://www.eaglesrestpark.org) and make a tax-deductible donation.
The Big Canoe gate at the top of Sanderlin Mt. will be open from noon until 4 p.m. for people living in Big Canoe.
Come to the mountain to refresh your mind, body and spirit.
