This Presidents' Day, Monday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m., Jasper United Methodist Church presents a night with Abe and Mary Lincoln in “From the Log Cabin to the White House.” Noted Lincoln reenactors Homer S. Sewell III and Joan Britton of Jasper, GA bring history alive in this entertaining and illuminating program.

All are welcome to this free patriotic program. Donations will support the Jasper UMC’s Kenya Mission Team to support their work in Obaga, Kenya this summer.

Mr. Sewell, who actually worked with the White House Communications Agency during the Johnson Administration, has been portraying Abe Lincoln since 1975. He has made more than 2,200 appearances in 47 states and seen almost two million people in his travels. His first book, "Image in the Mirror", will be available and Homer will autograph it for those wishing to purchase a copy. There will be photo opportunities.

ABE brings a powerful message to school children about the importance of staying away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco and youth violence; reading a lot of good books and respecting their parents, teachers and country. Now with the same power, he has put together a show which is inspirational, motivational, and patriotic...with an entertaining twist for the more mature audiences.
