Don’t miss Jasper’s Holiday Market
Jasper’s Holiday Market, a North Georgia “caring” tradition, is an arts, crafts and gifts event held annually at Chattahoochee Technical College in Jasper, Ga. This year's 7th annual event is slated for 5:30 until 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18 with net proceeds donated to local charities.
The 2017 Holiday Market Team of Michelle Roberson, Kay Lawrence, Donna McDonald and Gwen Brandon are hoping to attract even more than the 1,100 attendees and 100-plus vendors who participated in the successful 2016 Holiday Market. “Last year, almost $12,000 in net proceeds from this event was distributed to local charities for specific projects,” Roberson told Smoke Signals. “There’s nothing else like sharing lots of love and giving out money on Valentine’s Day to those in our community that give back to others every day.”
Local charities benefitted by the Holiday Market include: Angels on Horseback, Boys & Girls Club of Pickens County, Habitat for Humanity – Pickens County, Hope House of North Georgia, Miss Pickens County Scholarship Program, North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network, North Georgia Pregnancy Center, Pickens County Health Department, Pickens FERST Foundation, Prevent Child Abuse Pickens, Rotary Club of Jasper, and Youth Leadership Pickens.
