Annual Heart and Soul BBQ benefits local outreach groups

A hint of fall in the air brings out the annual "Holy Smokers" who fill the campus of Holy Family Episcopal Church off Cove Road with smells of roast pig on Saturday, Sept. 23. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. parishioners will deliver barbecue to businesses that preorder at $10 per plate.  Dinner on the grounds will start at 4 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. To go with the all night pit roasted pig, parishioners make and serve Brunswick stew, cold slaw and homemade cookies for $12 a plate.

Hang around after eating for live music and good company or take a plate or two "to go". All proceeds benefit local outreach organizations in the area. For tickets, please call 770-893-4525.
