Dawson Chamber supports county’s hot business climate

Dawson County’s business climate is thriving. Over the past few months Smoke Signals’ reporters have covered major expansions, new shopping centers and likely upcoming developments.

All this activity is keeping the Dawson Chamber of Commerce hopping with ribbon cuttings and other events. Here are just a few of the chamber events scheduled for April:

  • Tuesday, April 18—Ribbon Cutting, Dawson Vision, 1 p.m. Help the Chamber and Dawson Vision celebrate the opening of its new location behind the Varsity at 78 Bethel Road. The 5,000 square-foot facility offers complete vision services.
  • Thursday, April 13—Business Luncheon with the Chamber, 11:30 a.m. Professional Development Center, 30 Main Street, Dawsonville. Network with community and business leaders while eating lunch and hearing from speakers on issues that impact the Dawson community.   • Tuesday, April 25—Business After Hours hosted by Dawson Mountain Education Charter School and Lanier Technical College, 5-7 p.m. Network with business and community leaders while promoting your organization.   • Offering fun, safe and high intensity group training workout programs, Dawsonville Fit Body Boot Camp celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 2. Located at 145 Forest Boulevard, Suite 430 in the Dawson Crossroads shopping center on Georgia 400. The “Boot Camp” publishes its class schedule on .
  • Top Cleaners opened its second location in the Dawson Crossroads Shopping Center at 145 Forest Boulevard. Top Cleaners 2 is open seven days a week and provides top-notch dry cleaning and alteration services.
  • Elite Roofing and Restoration, offering residential and commercial roofing as well as carpentry and restoration services, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 16.
