Maggie’s House News: Stella is back!

By Pat Kraft. Photos by Julie LeCorre.

BCAR’s gentle yellow tabby, Stella, lost for two weeks, was rescued the first weekend in February. Stella had slipped out the door of her adopter’s home in Bent Tree in January. Sherry Shelton, a Maggie’s House volunteer, was able to rescue Stella and the cat is very happy to be back in our care. Stella has lost some weight but is otherwise fine. She will be fostered while she recovers. We are looking for a new adoptive home for Stella. She’s a very gentle cat that would be a perfect companion to another gentle pet. If you are interested in meeting Stella, please leave a message on the BCAR line, 706-268-1346, and we will return your call.

We owe our thanks to our dedicated volunteers: Sherry Shelton, Julie LeCorre, and Emily Stastny for their tireless, and ultimately successful, efforts to find our sweet girl.
