Smokey and Shirley
Clubhouse kittens Smokey, Tucker and Shirley ready for forever homes
By Henrietta Hall. Photos by Kate Featherstone Holder.
Did you know that the clubhouse had a cat? We all know Divot, the cart barn cat but I never knew the clubhouse had a cat until kittens appeared on the veranda. They are the cutest little balls of fluff.
We were able to capture the mom and all four of her kittens and take them to the vet. The wonderful news is that all were healthy! Momma was spayed and returned to the clubhouse where she is the pampered pet of the kitchen staff.
Her three remaining kittens (one was quickly adopted) are in a foster home and are now available for adoption. These three mighty mites are very lovable and good with humans because they were handled a lot when they were very young. Any one of these beauties would make an excellent pet and a wonderful addition to anyone’s home.
Tucker is a little black and white boy, Smokey is a black boy with a few white spots and Shirley, of Laverne and Shirley fame, is a beautiful white female kitten with some black markings. They will be at Open House on Saturdays from 11am to 2pm, just waiting for your visit. Drop on by!
BCAR is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit no-kill shelter for homeless dogs and cats found in the Big Canoe community. BCAR provides a safe, healthy and positive environment for them until they are adopted into their forever loving homes.
