The adorable Wood Poppy family now ready for adoption

In early July a nice couple in the Wood Poppy View section of Wildcat began feeding a young stray cat on their porch. While away on vacation for a week, the couple returned home to find the young cat had moved two little kittens onto the porch with her. When shortly thereafter the cat brought two additional kittens to the porch, the couple knew it was time to contact BCAR for help.
During this time, BCAR was busy rescuing another feline family so the couple continued to feed and watch out for them until BCAR could help. The little family of five were eventually rescued and nicknamed the “Wood Poppy family”. They were examined by BCAR’s veterinarian and found to be healthy and fit. After receiving vaccines, they were placed in a temporary foster home since Maggie’s House, the BCAR feline shelter, was full.
The strikingly beautiful Wood Poppy family consists of Mom (Poppy), three males (Pixie, PJ, and Petie) and one female (Penelope). They are now available for adoption and looking for loving forever homes.
Please stop by our Open House on Saturday from 11a.m. until 2 p.m. to meet this sweet little family and all our adoptable felines.
BCAR is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit no-kill shelter for homeless dogs and cats found in the Big Canoe Community, providing them with a safe, healthy and positive environment until they are adopted into their forever loving homes.
