Casseroles to Go! offered at Christmas Collectors’ Corner

By Rita Van Fleet

The Christmas Collectors’ Corner, sponsored by the Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Guild Legacy of Caring, will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Broyles Center before (8:30–10 a.m.) and after (noon – 2 p.m.) the POA Annual Meeting. Volunteers are working diligently to assemble gently used holiday items and winter home accessories for the event.

During the Christmas Collectors’ Corner event, the Casseroles to Go! committee will sell four new mouthwatering casseroles in the kitchen at the back of the Broyles Center. Casseroles include Cajun Shrimp & Sausage, Chicken Spectacular, Deluxe Beef Spaghetti, My Big Greek Chicken Pasta and the popular favorite, Sausage Muffins. Casseroles are priced at $18 and serve 3-4 persons. New this year, a limited supply of recipe booklets listing the recipes for this year’s casseroles as well as those from last year will be available for $2 to those who purchase casseroles.

The Christmas Collectors’ Corner is sponsored by the Legacy of Caring, a charitable giving program of the Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Guild. The Legacy of Caring contributes funds to charitable organizations in Pickens and Dawson counties that focus on the well-being of women, children, and families by providing life skills to overcome the cycle of poverty, oppression or substance abuse.
