Big Canoe Calendar–5/15/2018

Legacy of Caring Marketplace and Tour of Homes Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May, 19. Tour of Homes tickets costs $30 and can be purchased at www.bigcanoelegacy.org or in Big Canoe on the days of the tour. Buses will transport ticket holders from the chapel to the homes. Plan to start the tour no later than 1p.m. to see all five homes. Tour homes close at 4 p.m. on both days.

Big Canoe Singles’ Club at Gibbs Gardens Concert. Saturday, May 19, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Rock band “America’s Most Wanted” features music from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Cost of admission $20 ($18 for those 65+) or groups of 10 or more pay only $16 with advance registration. Food and drink available on site. Visit the Gibbs website at www.gibbsgardens.com for the delicious concert menu and ordering details. Everybody places their own food order for pick up on arrival. Terraces Concert–Sat., May 26, 7 p.m. The Loose Shoes Band. Tickets $22.50 in advance, $25 at gate. Tickets available online at the Big Canoe Chapel website or at the chapel stand-around.

Memorial Day Service–Mon. May 28, 11 a.m. at the Big Canoe Chapel. Vietnam veteran and triple amputee Tommy Clack scheduled to speak.

Travel Club–Wed., May 30 at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse. The American Queen Steamboat Company will highlight its Mississippi River cruises. Complimentary wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages at 5:30 p.m. will be available and door prizes will be given out. NOTE DATE CHANGE.
