Job Fairs at Goodwill Career Center in Dawsonville

The Goodwill Career Center in Dawsonville will host a multi-employer job fair from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, March 7. Fifteen local businesses, including Beall’s Outlet, Big Canoe, Bojangles, Burlington, Firehouse Subs, GA Highlands Medical Service, HomeGoods, Innovative Circuits, Kroger, Labor Finders, Modern Woodmen of America, and others are scheduled to participate. Hiring managers will conduct interviews on site. The WorkSource Georgia Mountains mobile training unit will also be onsite to offer resume assistance and skills assessments. All job fair participants will receive a coupon for 25% off at the Dawsonville Goodwill Store valid on the March 7 event only.

In other news, HomeGoods is hiring for the new store at Dawsonville Marketplace throughout the month of March. Positions include immediate openings for merchandise coordinators, backroom coordinators, and merchandise associates. Applications can be completed at the Goodwill Career Center on the following dates: Monday – Friday, March 5–9 and March 12–16, 9 a.m.–7 p.m.; Saturday, March 10, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.; and Mon.–Fri., March 19–23, 9 am.–5 p.m. No appointments are necessary.

The Goodwill Career Center is located inside the Goodwill Store at 66 S 400 Center Lane in Dawsonville. The Goodwill Career Center also provides ongoing preparation for a successful job hunt. Training is also available on-line at www.careerconnector.org. For more information call 706-344-3409.
