It’s Mardi Gras and Saturday, February 10, les bons temps will rouler at 6 p.m. in. The Pub, Sconti and Mountain Grill rooms will be decorated in the traditional purple, green and gold colors of Mardi Gras.

Papa Bear Bob Mackey encourages Bear Society members and guests to celebrate the holiday with plenty of cold beer, wine, cocktails and specialty drinks “borrowed” from New Orleans.  “We’re lucky in addition to our kitchen’s regular dinner menu, our own Cajun Chef, Jeff Moreau, has offered to help Chef Tulio prepare a Louisiana favorite–red beans and Rice with special Cajun pork sausage.  No Mardi Gras party is complete without King Cake–and we’ll have that, too.  If you haven’t had King Cake, you’re in for a treat!”

According to Mackey, “Our evening will be enhanced by music, including New Orleans Jazz and Mardi Gras favorites.  DJ Mike Ehrlich will help with the entertainment.  Since it’s Carnival, we’ll probably have a few surprises. We encourage everyone to wear the traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold and green, if you can. It’s going to be a great night. The Bear 🐻 Society is all about fun!”
