Squires & Stags–will meet on February 2 at 8 a.m. in the Mountains Grille at The Clubhouse at Lake Sconti. Chairman Rob Jones of the Pickens County Commission will report on development and government activities in Pickens County. Buffet breakfast ($13) will be served. Note: New members and guests are welcome to attend meetings. While Squires & Stags was formed as a men’s club, women are invited to attend the meetings and are always welcomed.

Great Decisions–Call for new members for 2018 registration, a life-long learning program to discuss foreign policy topics at the clubhouse every other Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon starting Feb. 13. The eight new timely foreign policy topics for 2018 include: The Waning of Pax Americana; Russia’s Foreign Policy; China and America: The New Geopolitical Equation; Media and Foreign Policy; Turkey: A Partner in Crisis; U.S. Global Engagement and the Military; South Africa’s Fragile Democracy; Global Health: Progress and Challenges. Knowledge Series: “United States Tax History with Display of Memorabilia” by Jeff Scroggin–Sunday, Feb. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in the Mountains Grille at The Clubhouse at Lake Sconti.
