Opportunities to give during the season abound

Holiday baskets made easy. Pick up a $5 or $10 bag of groceries at IGA, scan and pay for it at checkout and add to the holiday chest at the front of the store. Groceries are delivered throughout the holiday season to Dawson and Pickens foodbanks. Program continues throughout the month.

Need a last minute charitable donation for the 2017 tax year? Become a Legacy of Caring Sponsor before December 31. In its 30 years of service, The Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Guild Legacy of Caring has donated almost $1,700,000 to women’s and children’s programs in Pickens and Dawson counties. Sponsorship levels include: Platinum ($5,000), Gold ($2,500), Silver ($1,000) and Bronze Level ($500). Contact Greg Mikkelsen at This email address is being protected from spambots. Every year Big Canoe Property Owners have the opportunity to donate to the POA Employee Holiday Fund for the hourly employees of Big Canoe. Contributions enable property owners to express their appreciation to the hourly employees for their efforts throughout the year. A green envelope was provided to send in contributions. Complete the form and include a check or bill your lot number. Mail the envelope or place in the POA box at the postal facility.
