Wow! Another Georgia Wine Highway

By Wayne Crawford

Covering this wine event for the past ten years I continue to enjoy the growth, wine quality and commitment to open another Georgia Spring season with a singular wine tasting journey.

The North Georgia Wine Growers 2019 Wine Highway starts this Friday March 22 and continues thru March 31, 2019. The cost is $50 per person with an opportunity over ten days to enjoy wonderful hospitality, stimulating music, and engaging wine enthusiast at 28 wineries and Meadery and six tasting rooms across North Georgia. Travel to the first winery, purchase your winery list “2019 Wine Highway Week” a collector’s glass and passport book. Friday tasting begin at 12:00 and continue to 5:00 PM, Saturday tastings 11:00 to 5:00 PM, and Sundays 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. During the week Monday to Thursday 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

A quick reference to the wineries supporting the tasting is posted on https://www.georgiawine.com/georgia-wineries. Once you have the guide and passport book you are on your way. You can expect to taste four wines perhaps 2oz each. With that in mind you will need a designated driver. This is a wonderful way to taste great Georgia Wines. Enjoy!
