ArtsBridge Hosts FREE Performing and Visual Arts College Fair at Cobb Energy Centre on October 29

Atlanta, GA --- Do you know any college-bound students pursuing degrees in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, writing or graphic design? Tell them about the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s (NACAC) Atlanta Performing and Visual Arts College Fair. The event will be hosted by ArtsBridge on Monday, October 29 at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. There will be a workshop on College Admission 101 from 6-6:45 pm and the Fair is from 7-9 pm. Both are free and open to the public.

Although a growing number of students are pursuing college degrees in performing and visual arts, few resources exist for artistically inclined students as they plan their college careers. NACAC’s Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs, offered in 26 locations throughout the country, fill that gap by providing attendees a chance to learn about educational opportunities tailored to their interests. Students can meet one-on-one with admission representatives from colleges, universities, conservatories, studios, festivals, and other educational institutions with specialized programs in the arts. Information is also available about financial aid, portfolio days, auditions and entrance requirements.

"ArtsBridge is excited to partner with NACAC to host this performing and visual arts college fair, the only one of its kind in the state!" said Jennifer D. Dobbs, Executive Director of ArtsBridge Foundation. "Georgia boasts so many talented high school students and this is the ideal opportunity for them to meet with college representatives and learn how they can pursue a degree that matches their passion for the arts."

For more information about the fair, including a full schedule of participating schools, fields of study for schools in attendance, and registration information visit: www.nacacfairs.org/attend/pva/atlanta-performing-and-visual-arts-college-fair/. Students are encouraged to register prior to the event.

NACAC is an Arlington, VA-based education association of more than 15,000 primary and secondary school counselors, independent counselors, college admission and financial aid officers, enrollment managers, and organizations that work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education. The association is committed to maintaining high standards that foster ethical and social responsibility among those involved in the transition process, as outlined in the NACAC Statement of Principles of Good Practice.

ArtsBridge Foundation is dedicated to providing quality arts education and community programs that engage, motivate, inspire, and elevate the next generation of artists and arts supporters.
