Northside Hospital’s Cancer Institute is offering a free screening on Sept. 14 to determine men’s risk for developing prostate cancer. September is prostate cancer awareness month. The screening is administered by healthcare professionals and includes a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. The blood level of PSA is often elevated in men with prostate cancer.

The screening takes place:
Thursday, Sept. 14, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Northside Hospital Atlanta Cancer Center
1100 Johnson Ferry Road, N.E.
Atlanta, Ga. 30342

Eligibility:

  • Men ages 45-75
  • Have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer
  • Have not had a prostate exam within the past year

Prostate cancer remains the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men, aside from skin cancer. A nurse navigator will be available to help arrange follow up care, if indicated. Spanish interpreters will also be available free of charge during the screening.

Registration is required to confirm your time at the screening. Call 404-531-4444 to schedule an appointment.
