Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle to address Squires & Stags

The Hon. Casey Cagle, Lt. Governor of the State of Georgia, will speak at Squires & Stags’ Friday, Nov. 3rd meeting by special arrangement through the efforts of Chuck Gordon who will serve as program host for the meeting.

Cagle will bring a message which springs from his deep knowledge of the workings of the Georgia Legislature and its actions during the recent term earlier this year.

He is a leading candidate in the race for the governor’s office with the election next year and will speak also on his vision for the state.

He is the recent author of a book, Education Unleashed, which outlines his vision for a public education system that will develop a strong workforce for Georgia’s future.

Cagle lives in Gainesville and served in Georgia’s Senate before winning election in 2006 as the state’s first Republican lieutenant governor. He is serving his third term in that office.

Before entering politics, Cagle was an entrepreneur businessman. He later transitioned to real estate and banking, founding the Southern Heritage Bank which ultimately merged into SunTrust Bank.

Squires & Stags meets in the Mountains Grille at the Clubhouse at Lake Sconti. New members and guests are welcome to attend the meeting. Coffee is ready at 7:45 a.m. followed by a buffet breakfast served at 8:00 a.m. The price of breakfast is $13 payable on your POA account or by cash at the door

Reservations are required and must be received by Noon on Thursday before the Friday morning meeting. For reservation links, watch for the weekly announcements of Big Canoe events in Inside the Gates and Smoke Signals e-blasts.
