Leadership Big Canoe to meet Oct. 13
The Leadership Big Canoe (LBC) class of 23 Big Canoe residents will meet again on Oct. 13 to attend leadership training and select teams for projects to improve life in Big Canoe and surrounding communities.
Leadership Big Canoe’s Mission is to provide specific education and hands-on training designed to give current and emerging community leaders opportunities to become more knowledgeable about Big Canoe and to enhance their leadership skills required in a volunteer setting.
LBC’s Class of 2018 met for the first time on September 8 and was captivated to learn the rich history of Big Canoe from some of the community’s long-time residents: Ken Rice, Bennett Whipple, Linda Travis and Louise Dodd.
If you are interested in learning more about Leadership Big Canoe, please feel free to ask any of the current Leadership Big Canoe Board Members Bob Ackermann, Gay Abbott, Dudley DeVore, Lou Stephenson, Mark Bopp, Meg Rooney, Phil Baldwin, Susan Willson, or Ellen Sheridan.
