Phil Anderson

Squires & Stags hosts POA’s Anderson Aug. 4

By Bennett Whipple

“Six major issues facing Big Canoe” will be the subject of Phil Anderson’s talk at the August 4 meeting of Squires & Stags. He is president of the POA Board and noted for his communication skills including his succinct and comprehensive monthly reports to Smoke Signals and Inside the Gates.

His talk will cover the internet problem and the “Fiber-to-the-Home” proposed solution, the status of the water situation, the Troon management option, progress on the new firehouse, the Land Use Task Force report and its recommendations, and, of course, the operation of the clubhouse.

His talk will include time for questions and answers.

Anderson, as they say, “knows the territory.” After completing Leadership Big Canoe, he served the Home Owners Association (HOA) in various capacities, including president, leading to the merger with the POA. He was elected to the POA Board in December, 2015, and is serving his second year.

Squires & Stags meets in the Mountains Grille room at the Clubhouse at Lake Sconti. Coffee is ready at 7:45 a.m. followed by a buffet breakfast served at 8:00 a.m. Big Canoe residents and guests are invited to attend the meeting. The price of breakfast is $13 payable on your POA account or by cash at the door.

Reservations are required and must be received by Noon on Thursday before the Friday morning, Aug 4, meeting. You may register now online by clicking Squires & Stags, Friday, Aug 4, 2017

Use of the online reservation system is encouraged, but if it’s not available you may call Kim Cooper at (706) 268-1115 to make reservations.
