Chestatee Artists host Dog Days of August

Join us Friday evening, Aug. 4 for the opening reception of the Dahlonega-based Chestatee Artists at the Bowen Center for the Arts. Their exhibit is titled “Dog Days of August” and features over 80 2D and 3D works from modern to classical art, glass, ceramics, stained glass, fine jewelry, fiber art and chain saw sculptures with most works are for sale.

Member artists include Gainesville resident Margy Dennis, Clarksville resident, Ken Selzer, Dahlonega residents Ann McCormack, Anna Elrod, Bart Parto, Beth Stull, Carl Pirone, Charlotte Smith, Dena Scifers, Denise Roberson, Florence Roberts, Ginny Greenwood, Holly Adams, J.J. Graziano, James Daniel Sr., Jamie Pederson, Jill Gray, Judy Linn, Kiera Chan, Letty Rayneri, Oscar Rayneri, Patti Pirone, Paul Roberts, Peyton Chan, Phyllis Ellis, Sue Miller, Tom Slavicek, Wanda Smith, Cleveland resident Josie Toney, Cuming residents Heather Stancil, Bert Grant and Toccoa resident Gail Watson.

The public is invited to enjoy the opening reception and meet the artists August 4 from 5-7pm.

The exhibit will continue until August 25. Don’t miss it! All exhibits are free and open to the public.

The Bowen Center for the Arts is located at 334 Highway 9 North, Dawsonville, just north the historic square next to Lanier Tech.
