Dawson Chorale presents “Opening Night”
The Dawson Community Chorale, the performing group sponsored by the Bowen Center for the Arts, presents “Opening Night,” a Spring concert to celebrate Broadway.
Classic tunes from “Annie,” ‘‘Oklahoma,’’ “Les Miserables” and other Broadway favorites will be performed under the direction of Dr. Joe Chapman beginning at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13. This concert will be held at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville at 900 Highway 9 North, located 0.1 miles North of Perimeter Road.
After the concert, enjoy refreshments at the reception and meet these performers. The chorale is a mixed choir of about 30 members, all of whom love to sing. That is the sole requirement for admission: a love of singing and a willingness to come to rehearsals and perform for the community. Rehearsals are Monday nights 7:00 to 9:00p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville, 900 Hwy 9 North, Dawsonville, GA.
