Go birding at Eagle’s Rest Park

Celebrate the spring equinox, Sunday, March 19, 2 p.m., at Eagle’s Rest Park. Bert Loftman will give an introductory presentation on bird watching on the western viewing deck prior to the Big Canoe Hiking Club’s event in the park.

Visitors to Eagle’s Rest Park are encouraged to help identify the birds of Mt. Oglethorpe. Consider capturing birds with your camera and sending the photos to the Mt. Oglethorpe Foundation for posting on Eagle’s Rest Park’s website, www.mtoglethorpe.org.

Along with your photos, we’ll identify each bird, give a brief description and credit you as the photographer. Please email photos to Kathleen Ingram, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Your bird photos will help others who visit the park enjoy the special magic of Mt. Oglethorpe.

Come to the mountain to renew your mind, body and spirit.
