A Preview of Coming Events
July 6, 2010
'Round The Mountain is devoted exclusively to bringing you the current calendar of social events in Big Canoe for the coming six weeks. Most events are listed on the Big Canoe Community Calendars where you can set your own e-mail event reminders and import events straight into your iCal compatible calendar (Outlook, Mozilla, etc.) - or simply print them for future reference.

- HOA Annual Meeting - Saturday, July 10th at the Chapel. Refer to info that was sent in your HOA Renewal Packet.
Chapel Sponsored Events - for more information, see the Chapel website:
- Terraces Concert - Saturday, August 14th at 7:30: Steve Cunningham, an Atlanta-based acclaimed guitarist performing jazz, R and B, Rock, Gospel, Country, Blues and Pop. Catering provided by Dawsonville’s Dogs and Hogs: $8.00 for a BBQ sandwich, baked beans and potato salad, coke or iced tea and dessert. Last concert of the season. Clubs and Organizations Events:
- Acoustic Music Jam Club: Thursday, August 5th at the Canoe Lodge from 7-9 p.m. Contact Vincent Ciliberto at 706-579-2603. The group meets on the 1st Thursday of every month
- Wildflower Bunch:
- Picnic and Pass Along - Wednesday, July 14th at 5:30 at the POA Lodge. Contact Lauren Grant at 706-579-2402.
- August meeting - Wednesday, August 4th at 1:00 at the Broyles Center; Georgann Schmaltz will speak on, “Attracting Birds the Natural Way.”
- Gardening 101 Part 4 - Monday, August 9th at the Broyles Center from 6-7:30 p.m.; Topic: “Principles of Pruning, Fertilizing and Maintenance.”
- Squires & Stags - Friday, August 6th from 7:15-8:30 in the Dogwood Room at the Clubhouse.
- North Georgia Veterans - Wednesday, July 14th at the Clubhouse in the Dogwood Room; noon-1:30. Speaker: LTC Christopher Stone on “The Role and Training of the Army Ranger,” 12:00 in the Dogwood Room. Contact Becca Weck for reservations: bweck@bigcanoepoa.org.
- BCAR - Adoption Days from 1-4:00 at the kennel on Saturday, July 31st.
