Pickens Seniors for Change working to cut property taxes for seniors

The Pickens Seniors for Change will meet to discuss property tax exemptions for senior homeowners at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 in the Cherokee/Pickens Room of the Chattahoochee Tech Campus.

Holy Family presents KSU Jazz Five on Mar. 19

The Episcopal Church of the Holy Family proudly presents a Kennesaw State University jazz combo in a free concert 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 19. The KSU Jazz Five consists of students playing trumpet, sax, piano, bass, and drums. The group will play a program of traditional and modern jazz repertoire.

NGV recognize Ray Beck’s military service

Last year North Georgia Veterans (NGV) agreed to support Georgia Mountains Hospice in recognizing the military service for those veterans in hospice care. Friday, Jan. 20 Ray Beck, a 30-year employee of Big Canoe in golf maintenance was visited by two U.S. Army NGV members, Bill Saling and Dick Scharf, to recognize Beck for his service to his country.
