The staff of the Big Canoe Department of Public Safety was honored recently at an appreciation day luncheon at the Chimneys. The Nov. 13 barbeque from Bubba’s in Jasper was hosted jointly by Big Canoe Company and Big Canoe Realty.
“It’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the men and women who work here
around the clock handling traffic, manning our gates and patrolling our
neighborhoods–all those many things they do to make Big Canoe a better
place to live,”said Mike Rhodes, Big Canoe Realty’s director of sales.
Chief Andy Beck expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the
recognition given to his staff–and especially, he added with a big
smile, for the great barbeque lunch served up to them.
GM Roger Klask added his thanks for the special recognition given to
the men and women of the department. He noted that, in addition to the
typical security services provided by gate and patrol staff, patrol
personnel also work as firefighters and provide important life-saving
emergency medical services to our residents.
“The Department of Public Safety is a dedicated and well respected
group, and it is good to see them get this special ‘thank you’
luncheon,” he added.
