Winter is the time to do it!

What is vista pruning? It is the pruning of trees to increase or improve a view to the outside without increasing the view inside. This is done by creating windows of view through the trees and keeping the canopy intact as much as possible.

Vista pruning is done throughout the year. Vista pruning, once the leaves have fallen, provides the advantage of knowing what year-long view you are working towards since you can see through the limbs. This allows for generally shorter cutting time since the guess work is gone. Cutting in the winter and fall is also a lot less stressful on the trees.

I have included a couple of examples of “before and after” pictures to show you what a difference vista pruning can make. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact the office for more information (706-268-3394).
