Rally for the Cure Golf tourney raises $4,000!

The Big Canoe Women's Golf Association held its first Rally for the Cure Golf Tournament on October 15. The event supports the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation in its quest to raise awareness of breast cancer and take the life-saving message of early detection to hundreds of thousands of active women.

We were thrilled to have 81 paid donations, and 72 players. Between the donations, silent auction, raffle and mulligans, we raised nearly $4,000.00.

Our sincere gratitude goes to everyone who played, as well as the donors listed here who generously supported our Rally. If you shop at or use these vendors, please thank them for their support. Also, thanks to Linda Hunt and Dave O'Connor, who helped get this event organized. Also, a special thanks goes to the maintenance crew who surprised us the day of the Rally with pink flags on every hole.
