Plan your tee time accordingly

We have several golf outings scheduled. We are currently allowing groups who have had outings in the past to continue to have their outings now. We will not be allowing any new groups to having an outing at Big Canoe while we have nine holes out of play.

Wednesday Sept. 17, we will host the Jasper Rotary Golf Outing. This will be a 12:30 shot gun start so there will be limited play in the afternoon.

Wednesday Sept. 24, we will host a Ladies Group in the morning; they will have a 9 a.m. shot gun start. We also have several members who will be hosting about 24 of their friends in the afternoon so this will be a busy day.

Wednesday, Oct. 1, we will host the First Cherokee State Bank Charity Golf Outing for Kennesaw State University; they will begin play at 12:30 p.m. All other play must tee off before 8:15 and be off the golf course before 12:15 p.m. Play will resume after the outing is off the course which should be around 5:30 or 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 8, we will be hosting a Pro Lady which will begin with a 9 a.m. shot gun start. All other play in the morning will play Cherokee twice. Those beginning at noon will play Cherokee and turn to Creek.

Wednesday, Oct. 15, Our Ladies' Golf Association will host a Rally for a Cure to benefit Cancer research. This will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

Thursday Oct. 16, we will be hosting the Parker Hudson Group and they will have a noon shot gun start. Play that morning will be limited. If you would like to play at one of the reciprocal golf courses, please contact someone in the golf shop and they will make the proper arrangements. Play will resume after the outing is off the course which should be around 5 p.m. Please mark you calendars and if you would like to have us make you a tee time at Bent Tree, Woodmont, or Crooked Creek, give us a call and we would be more than happy to help you out. The cost for golf members to play at these golf courses will be $35 ($25 for Bent Tree) and property owners and guests will pay the appropriate guest rate at the respective golf course.

MGA Closing Day - Saturday, Oct. 25 - They will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun so if you intend to play that day, you will have to begin play after 1:30 p.m.

WGA Closing Day - Monday, Oct. 27 - The ladies will play a 9-hole event beginning at 9 a.m. If you intend to play 18 holes, you will have to begin your round after 11 a.m. If you would like to play at one of the golf courses who reciprocates with us, call the golf shop and we will make you the tee time.
