Member-Guest players hone their putts

Wally Walsh and Pat Winn won the putting tournament portion of the 2008 Men's Member-Guest Tournament. The winner of the 2008 Men's Member-Guest was Kevin Doran and his partner Joel Green. Those who took home some money ($25 apiece) on the first day of the tournament included R. Smith, closest to the pin hole #2 Choctaw; Tom Sadler, closest to #9 Choctaw; Van Zeiler, closest to #3 Creek; Carl Bauman, closest to #8 Creen; Gene Strong, closest to #4 Cherokee; and Ken Harlan, closest to #6 Cherokee. Those who won awards on Saturday included Tom Sadler, closest to #3 Creek; Thad Andres, closest to #8 Creek; and Ralph Nunn, hole-in-one #2 Choctaw.

Ordinarily this would sound like just another “fish story,” but knowing the parties involved, I wouldn’t have been a doubter like some were.

The story involves a group from Big Canoe who enjoy getting away from the Reservation annually for a social/golf outing at some nearby venue.
