All-Region honors abound: Fifteen Lumpkin County varsity football players given 7-AAA All-Region honors

The Lumpkin County varsity football team had 15 players named to the 2008 Region 7-AAA All-Region Team. The Indians football team selections are made up of ten seniors, four juniors and one sophomore.

The Lumpkin County Middle School wrestling team has been on the ascent all season, improving each week by wrestling some of the most talented teams in the area.
